Dit is geen lang gedicht maar voor mij persoonlijk een met de meeste betekenis. Het is geschreven met metaforen en voor mijn gevoel zet het je daardoor wat meer aan het denken. Het gaat over het kwijtraken van iemand, of die persoon nou overleden is of verhuisd, verandert..
Today it’s dark.
Today my forest is dark,
Non of the birds sings.
The trees are sad,
And all the butterfly’s have broken wings.
Today my sea is dark,
The waves look dangerous to me.
I don’t feel like swimming,
In this sad and crying sea.
Today my sky is dark,
The sun just disappears.
But even the moon and all the stars,
Are hiding behind their tears.
Today my world is dark,
The forest, the sea and the sky’s.
The colors are gone, it’s now just black,
Because I have closed my eyes.
Tonight I’ll fly above the clouds,
And look down on you.
So every time you close your eyes,
You can look at me too.
